What happens at Goonhilly

This diagram depicts a simplistic, but typical example of the route that a T.V. transmission signal would take. A number of other routes and equipment could also be involved in this process, such as submarine cables, exchanges, T.V. transmitters and microwaves. The dishes are busy sending and receiving TV pictures all over the world, while simultaneously handling thousands of international phone, fax, data and video calls.
